Automotive Technician

The Garvey Automotive Group is looking for a full-time employee to hire as our next Automotive / Mechanic Technician. The candidate we are seeking is qualified, trained, and equipped.

At Garvey Volkswagen our mechanics are responsible for the repair of all new and pre-owned vehicles sold by the Garvey Automotive Group, as well as off make vehicles brought in by our customers for repair. They maintain factory certification and their own supply of key tools. We help provide training and ASE certifications for those mechanics that wish to improve their skills. With modern shop equipment and technician tools our techs perform multipoint walk around and video MPIs on every vehicle. At Garvey we know technicians are our customers most trusted point of contact at the dealership, so we strive for a 100% fixed-right-the-first-time ratio and high levels of technician proficiency. We mechanics also need to be customer service oriented and able to communicate with our clients to answer any questions they have about their vehicles.

A well-qualified candidate will:

• Have experience as an automotive technician
• Have entry level technical certifications

An extremely well qualified candidate will:

• Hold any level ASE certification
• Be manufacturer certified by Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia
• Be a Level B Tech
• Have a NYS Inspector’s License

E-Commerce Order & Inventory Coordinator

Garvey Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated E-Commerce Order & Inventory Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is essential to our day-to-day operations, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and with the highest level of care. As the E-Commerce Coordinator, you will work closely with our customer service team and shipping department to support our customer-first mission across our e-commerce stores.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order Processing

• Process all incoming e-commerce orders daily, with priority handling for orders marked with a “Priority Processing Fee.”
• Ensure orders are processed promptly each morning to maintain shipping efficiency.

Order Accuracy & Fitment Review

• Review each order to verify vehicle and product compatibility.
• Work with the parts department for fitment accuracy when needed.
• Prevent order errors and returns through proactive checks.

Inventory Replenishment

• Monitor stock levels of popular and fast-moving items.
• Place orders with vendors as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to track incoming shipments.

Workflow Handoff

• Once orders are processed and billed, transition them to the shipping department for packaging and dispatch.
• Ensure all in-stock orders are clearly identified and communicated for same or next-day handling.

Team Collaboration

• Step in to support teammates as needed—whether covering for absences or assisting during high-volume periods.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Auto Parts Specialist

Garvey Auto Group is seeking an Experienced Parts Counter Person to complete our Parts Team. Our Automotive Parts Clerk is a full-time position for forty hours a week with benefits. We're primarily interested in a qualified candidate with experience, but we're willing to train the right individual. The position is physically demanding, so candidates should be able to lift small to medium size, or even heavy loads.

The Parts Associate's primary responsibility is the retail, wholesale, and internal distribution of factory and aftermarket automotive parts. They receive customers at our parts counter, over the phone, and across the desk to our service technicians. The position entails shipping and receiving responsibilities, as well as inventory maintenance and physical inventories.
